Why you should come to WP-Brighton

Brighton’s first ever WordPress event – WP-Brighton – is happening at the end of next week – Friday September 23rd. It’s aimed at businesspeople as well as digital professionals, with separate strands for both audiences. With the event drawing closer, I wanted to take the opportunity to reiterate why I think it’s going to be a great event, and why you should come along.

  • As a businessperson, you should really know about WordPress. It currently powers around 50million website worldwide (about 12.5% of all websites!), in over 60 languages. If you’re not using it for your business, you can be almost certain that some of your competitors, suppliers and customers are. The speakers in the business track will show you ways in which WordPress can create genuine, sustainable value for your business.
  • If you’re a digital professional, we’ve got some really excellent speakers who will demonstrate their favourite tricks, tips and approaches over six speaker slots.

Following the two speaker tracks, there will be two short break-out sessions where you’ll get the chance to discuss points of interest with a mixed group of businesspeople and digital professionals in a facilitated and relaxed environment. Whoever you are, I feel sure you’ll come away from the afternoon inspired, a little educated and with a handful of business cards from interesting and useful contacts.
